Connecting to Wi-Fi In Windows 11
Select the Network icon in the notification area, then select the > icon next to the Wi-Fi quick setting to see a list of available networks.
Choose the network that you want to connect to, and then select Connect.
Type the security key (often called the password).
Follow additional instructions if there are any.
Not every PC and laptop has a wireless network adapter. This means that not every PC/laptop is capable of connecting to any Wi-FI network. Some require a hardwire connection. (i.e. The Ethernet cable must be plugged in directly.)
To check whether your PC has a wireless network adapter:
Select Start , type device manager in the search box, and then select Device Manager.
Expand Network adapters.
Look for a network adapter that might have wireless in the name.
If this does not exist on your PC, your PC may not have a wireless network card and therefore cannot connect to any Wi-Fi network. Consider purchasing and installing one to continue with Wi-Fi, or plug an ethernet cable in directly.
